It could be a metaphor for how people feel about their financial service relationships, but maybe it means something different. Perhaps she feels trapped in a bad relationship but finds it too difficult or inconvenient to make a change? Perhaps the sleeveless man represents firms like ING Direct (attractive, fun, satisfying… but not right for everyday)?
